Abbott Health Systems

Abbott Health Systems retained The Wetrich Group (TWG) to conduct a competitive profile and analysis of their six main competitors. At the time, Abbott had a robust corporate sales and marketing initiative covering group purchasing organizations and integrated delivery networks. Abbott wanted to understand their competitor's actions with respect to coverage of these target markets.

Abbott and TWG developed survey instruments and metrics to determine the data elements needed. TWG spent three months reviewing public information, as well as interviewing individuals for comprehensive data collection. Through TWG's network of contacts, the firm was effectively able to provide much of the desired information. Abbott engaged TWG two years later to once again refresh the information.
